ABOUT OUR ASSOCIATION

Who we are

Kenya Association of Urological Surgeons (KAUS) is a registered association under section 10 of the Societies Act in the year 2002. It is a registered association of qualified medical practitioners and associates in the field of urological surgery.

Our mandate is to promote the science and practice of Urology and advocate for and advise on Urology policies in Kenya.

Our Organization Mandate

Our mandate is to promote the science and practice of Urology and advocate for and advise on Urology policies in Kenya. The Association intends to implement its mandate through the following principles as per the KAUS constitution:

  1. The encouragement of the highest standards in the practice of Urology in Kenya
  2. The promotion of education, research and development in Urology by
    1. Encouraging and assisting post graduate education in Urology
    2. Encouraging the publication of articles in Urology
    3. Ensuring that Urology is adequately represented and practiced as a specialty in the
      medical profession
    4. The dissemination of scientific information among members and any other persons
      or bodies having the same interests
  3. The recommendation of the highest standards of training in Urology
  4. The promotion of lecture tours and exchange fellowships
  5. The organization of regular Continuous Medical Education (CME) workshops in Urology
  6. Representation of aspirations and needs of members in regulatory, governmental, insurance,
    legislative and other relevant bodies as appertains to their practice
  7. Any other means which shall further the stated objects of the Association
